A parent or responsible adult has to stay this the child at all times while attending the event. As you can appreciate any child should not be left alone, No Matter how good a swimmer they are, especially when near open water.
Therefore it is one of our rules that a responsible adult stays with the child during the events.
For your child to join the club there is a small amount of paper work to fill in. Please download and print the application form and fill in then either bring it to one of our events or email it to whittleseysmallfry@outlook.com.

We hold our events on the last Saturday of each month. When the Fishing season is open we usually hold our events at the Bower behind the Manor Leisure Centre in Whittlesey. During the close season you are not allowed to fish rivers therefore we use Float Fish farm which is on the Ponders Bridge road, between Whittlesey and Stanground. We have been granted permission to use both these fishing venues and give thanks to both Float fish Farm Fisheries and Yaxley Farcet Holme DAC for allowing us to use their waters.
Please check our Calendar Events Page and our Event Location page for further information.
We can supply tackle for the events at no extra cost. If you do have fishing tackle we would like you to bring your own as we can then train you to use your tackle so that you gain confidence quickly as using someone else's equipment can be daunting at times as it may be different to your own.
We try to keep our rules as simple as possible but please see our club Rules page.
If you wish to make a donation to the club in the form of fishing tackle, Offers of a fishing venue, or just to help us out. Please contact us using the contacts page of the website and choose Donations in the Reason for Contacting us box
All of our committee are DBS checked,
We have a Safeguarding and welfare officer,
We also have trained First aid Staff.
We try our best to use sites that have welfare facilities for everyone, sometimes these may be basic facilities depending on the site.
If you are going to use a rod and line to fish anywhere in the UK, you will need to make sure that you have a Rod Licence.
Some waters will require you to also have a club membership to fish the waters.
In this case you will need to have both Rod Licence and club membership for the time period that you are fishing.
Rod Licences can be brought on line and you must make sure the licence is for the day/s that you are fishing.
An angling club membership can sometimes be brough on line but often they are sold either at a local fishing shop or by the club bailiff at the river bank so please remember to have some money with you to pay for the club ticket.
Club Bailiffs are not allowed to sell you are rod licence this has to be done on line.
A day ticket is a licence or Club membership that lasts for one day only. When buying a rod Licence on line you need to make sure that the licence is for the day you are fishing.
If you are fishing a club water for one day you will need a rod licence and a club day ticket to fish. Sometimes these can be brought on line but mostly they can be paid for when fishing so make sure you have some money with you when fishing club waters.
A season licence last for one year from the day you purchase it and you have to remember to renew it.
An angling club membership usually starts at the beginning of the season, even if you buy one part way through the season. but you need to check when the club membership starts and ends.
